Ilex End, Meads, Eastbourne
This interesting house built in the 50s started life as a double garage with a flat above and served as the chauffeurs accommodation for the large house next door. In the mid seventies, it was bought by a local architect who extended the property to provide a family home. Peter Grant, manager of Led Zeppelin owned the property for many years and it remained in the family until my client purchased it at the end of 2013. I was given a brief to remodel the house and completely update every element of the infrastructure. The integral double garage became a large kitchen with dining area opening out to the south facing living room. Features include: bespoke staircase balustrade, self contained studio, bespoke entertainment centre, wide board oak flooring, unique en suites, huge south facing terrace, blackened larch cladding, grey aluminium windows and doors, meadow garden..
